Hi there,

Thank you for visiting my travel blog! How are you today?

If you've traveled to Thailand before, you know that Thais are friendly and hospitable people. We truly love welcoming foreigners to our Land of Smiles!

Whenever my foreign friends visit, I love showing them around and recommending places to go and delicious things to eat. So, I've created a list of recommendations that my friends have enjoyed and that I think other travelers will appreciate as well.

I've poured my heart into this blog, and I hope you enjoy reading my adventures and learn a thing or two. Most importantly, have a fun & joyful journey, always!

With Love,

Tum

What does Traveling Tum mean?

I am a Thai travel blogger based in Bangkok, Thailand. Tum is my nickname. And I love traveling, so I combine the two together!

Fun fact, every Thai person has a first name and a nickname. Usually, nicknames can be completely different from first names, unlike English nicknames, which often shorten the first name (e.g., Benjamin to Ben). My nickname, Tum, doesn't actually have any meaning by the way. It's just a word sound. But I like it because my mom gave this name to me. So, simply put "Traveling Tum" – means Tum loves to travel!

What inspired me to start this blog?

Over the years, I've noticed a lack of English content written by Thai bloggers about Thailand. Travel blogs about Thailand seem to be dominated by foreigners. This inspired me to create Traveling Tum, a platform for sharing travel tips "from one friend to another."

Here, you'll find the kind of insider information I'd give my own friends, along with stories and practical tips for travelers worldwide.

Do I travel outside of Thailand too?

Absolutely! Beyond Thailand, I also love traveling overseas. My dream is to learn as much as possible about the world, its people, and cultures. I also want to be a small voice on the internet, offering different perspectives and showcasing the world through my Thai eyes.

I believe some of my tips will be useful for planning your travels. And I can't wait for you to join me on my journeys and discover something new together!
